Aloha and thanks for visiting my website. I am Candice Appleby, a Professional Ocean Athlete, also known as a Waterwoman. I grew up in San Clemente, California and I've always loved the ocean. Before my mom taught me to surf at San Onofre at age 9, I enjoyed boogie boarding and bodysurfing the calm waves of Newport and Laguna Beach. Growing up in San Clemente was an amazing experience as I was able to surf Trestles and San Onofre daily, either with my family of my High School Surf Team. At 17, after graduating from San Clemente High, I moved to Hawaii to go to College and pursue my surfing career. In the past seven years I have had some of the most exciting experiences and have been mentored by some of the most inspiring legendary surfers of our time. I am truly blessed with the life I live. I have an amazing family who loves me, friends who understand me, and a huge Ohana in Hawaii who have helped me make it my home. Thank you Jesus!
